Sound Exchange has three stores in the Tampa Bay, Florida area.  Our oldest and largest store is located in the north end of Tampa, Florida on Nebraska Ave.  Our Brandon store is located at Lumsden Ave and Kings Ave, while our Pinellas Park store is located at Park Blvd and 49th St.   The Tampa and Brandon stores are located in Hillsborough County while the Pinellas Park store is located in Pinellas County.

Sound Exchange has been in business for nearly a quarter of a century.  During that time we have seen many competitors come and go.  In 1987 the local record store scene was populated by companies named Peaches, Turtles,  Specs, Q Records, Record Bar, Hastings, Sam Goody, and Sound Warehouse.  Over the years there have been many locally owned stores, such as Alternative Record  Store, Music  Revolution, Mojo Books & Music, CD Warehouse, Tampa CD, Clearwater CD, School Kids, Music Spot, Divinyl  Madness, CD City, Sun Bum’s, Ace’s Records, Blue Chair Records, Vinyl Fever, Music Exchange, Banana’s Records, Record and Tape Outlet, and Peter Dunn’s Vinyl Museum.  With three stores in the Tampa Bay area Sound Exchange continues to dominate the local record store scene.
